The apsaras or celestial nymphs, are sensuous, graceful females, clothed in sumptuous costumes and wearing elaborate jewels. They adorn the temple walls, most famously at Angkor Wat, and are amongst the most beautiful examples of relief carving.
This is a beautiful example hand-carved in hardwood, measuring 100cm x 40cm.
