From a sixth/seventh century example from Phnom Da and now in Phnom Penh National Museum. One of the earliest surviving examples of Khmer sculpture, the original stands nearly ten feet tall. Our version is carved from hardwoodand measures 120cm in height. Vishnu is portrayed with eight arms to celebrate his universal majesty, and wears a diaphanous sampot wound tightly around his waist. Beautiful, and suitable for indoor or outdoor display.
